The journey of EcoClean Flow Foundation began with a personal revelation. Our founder’s struggle with a persistent health condition—traced back to unclean water from childhood—became a turning point. Growing up in a small village in Enugu, Nigeria, the challenges of accessing clean water were a daily reality, especially during the dry season, when streams would dry up, forcing villagers to rely on limited, often contaminated water sources.
This experience highlighted a deeper crisis: how many others in rural Nigeria might unknowingly face similar health risks due to a lack of clean water? It became clear that real change required addressing the root cause—sustainable access to clean water.
Using solar-powered systems to provide clean, reliable water to villages across Nigeria. This solution not only addresses the immediate need for water but also leverages renewable energy to ensure sustainability.
Starting from primary schools, we empower young Nigerians with knowledge on the sustainable use of water resources. Our goal is to inspire a culture of conservation, ensuring that clean water is respected and preserved.
Partnering with local leaders and communities to foster long-term environmental stewardship. By building awareness and providing practical solutions, we aim to support healthier, resilient communities across Nigeria.
We understands that clean water alone is only part of the solution. We also focus on educating communities about basic hygiene practices and the importance of water sanitation to prevent waterborne illnesses.
EcoClean Flow Foundation is dedicated to transforming lives by providing sustainable access to clean water and fostering environmental education in rural Nigerian communities.
Inspired by personal experience, we’re committed to addressing the urgent need for clean water while teaching future generations the importance of water conservation.
EcoClean Flow Foundation is at the beginning of an inspiring journey to bring clean water, sustainable solutions, and environmental education to villages across Nigeria. Be part of this vision, shaping the future with us from the ground up. Whether you’re a volunteer, advocate, or donor, your support will be essential in creating life-changing projects and empowering communities with clean, healthy water.
Chimaobi Dennis Edeh was born and raised in the small village of Nkanu East in Enugu State, Nigeria, where his father worked as a carpenter and his mother as a trader. Growing up, he witnessed firsthand the daily challenges his community faced, especially the lack of clean water. Like many, he often walked long distances to fetch water from a local stream, an even greater struggle during dry seasons when the stream dried up, leaving only limited, unclean water. These early experiences shaped his deep commitment to making a meaningful difference in his community.
After completing his primary and part of his secondary education in the village,
Dennis moved to the city to finish high
school and later graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from
the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
During his undergraduate years, Dennis volunteered as a primary school teacher
in his village, nurturing his ambition to
give back to his community.
As founder of the tech startup IGSOFT, Dennis launched the "Smile with IGSOFT"
initiative, visiting orphanages to
provide food, clothes, and essential supplies. This dedication to humanitarian
work continued to grow, and in 2023,
Dennis was awarded the Swedish Institute Scholarship to pursue a Master’s in
Innovation through Business Engineering and
Design at Linnaeus University. There, he joined a team researching water
scarcity, which resonated deeply due to his
personal connection to the issue.
A recent health diagnosis revealed that Dennis had been living with a
stomach bacteria caused by unclean water he drank
as a child. This experience illuminated the urgency of clean water access
for him, as he realized how many in his
village and other communities might suffer from similar health issues
without proper medical care. This realization
spurred him to found the EcoClean Flow Foundation with a vision: to provide
sustainable, solar-powered water solutions
to underserved communities and ensure future generations have access to
clean, safe water.
Dennis’s ambition is clear: to provide life-saving clean water to as many
communities as possible. “Water is life,” he
says, echoing the words of his community, "Mmiri bu Ndu" in
Igbo. With a
experience in project management, financial
accounting, and auditing, Dennis has the expertise to ensure that every cent
donated to EcoClean Flow Foundation is
efficiently and effectively channeled toward making a tangible impact.
EcoClean Flow Foundation envisions a future where every village has access to clean water. Our projects not only provide sustainable water solutions but also offer comprehensive eco-learning programs, educating communities from primary schools to households about water conservation and sustainability. Dennis invites everyone who shares this vision to join him on this journey to create lasting change.
Join us in making a lasting impact. Every cent you contribute brings us closer to a future where clean water and sustainable practices become the foundation for life in rural Nigeria. Together, let’s bring life-changing water solutions to those who need them most.
